The Seven Sleepers is an Islamic and Christian story that recounts youths who were persecuted for their belief and fell asleep in a cave for over 300 years along with their dog. When they awoke they discovered everything had changed and not only the money they had was ancient but the society had altered radically and was now one of believers. In this sci-fi Art film concepts of time are deliberately abstract and some of the themes include social alienation, technology and the environment and the power of overcoming a dystopian landscape through perseverance and working together.
